After almost two years of writing and procrastinating, my nonfiction book has taken off the ground and the sky’s the limit! With the forthcoming holidays upon us, airports will once again become looney bins as myriads of people embark on their journeys. Having said that, it would be most prudent this holiday season for travelers and airport employees to prepare yourselves for the crazy nuances that will inevitably transpire. My readers are at times, in total disbelief, yet enlightened after reading the book. It truly validates that… Truth Is Stranger than Fiction. Would love for you to share some of your stories with us and perhaps it will find a place in the sequel of “Tales From The Tarmac TOO”

Author Claudia says…
Hello and welcome to the official website of my book, Tales from the Tarmac! The book is a multi-faceted insider's crash course on the lunacy that professional airport ground staff must face on a daily basis.
...what happened to the non-English speaking wheelchair-bound senior citizen?
...or the horny halfwit passenger who had malfunctioning dildo issues!
...what would you do with a young child whose parents forgot to pick him up?
...would you know how to handle a severely retarded passenger who was permanently discarded by her family in Europe and sent alone to JFK?
...did you ever have an evening of dining and singing with Pavarotti on your social calendar?
...what about the darling little drunk?
...how did JFK's chick magnet handle thousands of little foreign born babes in sub-degree weather?
...then there was beautiful Ireland with oh so many green pastures and red faces!
...gator-aid... it wasn't just a drink in an aiport vending machine... it had teeth and an attitude!
...gain behind-the-scene insight to bombings and hijackings while the world watched in horror.
...did you know that besides tulips and wooden shoes, the Dutch, via Martinair, provided the U.S. with a fleet of aircraft for coalition troops and supplies during the first Gulf War?
...addictions... not just for druggies... the airline industry itself is an addiction...
...governments are the downfall or stability of a country. The last several candid stories of the book take place in Iran, a land of peace-loving people that has and continues to suffer under their despotic leadership. Judge for yourself!
...these, along with many other crazy "tales" are indicative of the daily nuances that occur worldwide. The only difference is the airport location and the cast of players that make these incredible experiences universal!
Hey Claudia: We missed you here in Helen for your birthday. I am so excited that your dreams are coming true. We love you.
Andy and Deb
We were all very upset as well because we missed being with you in Helen. Fortunately, I had committed to several speaking engagements which exposed my book quite nicely. It’s been received very well. We also took our youngest grandsons to Lake George and Montreal for ten days as pre-birthday gifts. We’ll call you over the weekend. Edie & Ridha are here with us for the weekend and then I go to Ca. for a few weeks to pack mom up and bring her to the East Coast . This will be a challenge for all of us. My media campaign begins end of Oct. Will keep you posted. Love you both, Claudia
Great idea for a book, and I wish you well. One suggestion, learn the proper use of the word “myriad” (it is not ‘myriads of’) before you continue with your second book.
Laura,
Thank you for your comment…haste and deadlines, not a good mix!
